UAE-based CNTXT AI has raised $60 million in a Series A funding round as the company accelerates the global deployment of sovereign AI solutions for enterprise and government customers.

The funding round was co-led by AI71, Abu Dhabi’s applied AI company focused on sovereign AI, and BlueFive Capital, a global asset manager with roots in the GCC region.

The company plans to use the new capital to expand into international markets, strengthen product development efforts, and scale secure AI infrastructure deployments across public and private sector organizations worldwide.

Building AI While Keeping Data Sovereign

Founded by Mohammad Abu Sheikh, CNTXT AI helps organizations develop, deploy, and scale AI systems while maintaining complete ownership and control over their data.

As governments and enterprises increase AI adoption, concerns around data privacy, regulatory compliance, and data residency continue to grow. CNTXT AI focuses on solving these challenges through sovereign AI infrastructure that allows organizations to leverage AI without transferring sensitive information to external systems.

The company provides AI data preparation, labeling, annotation, and model training services while also developing custom AI solutions that integrate with existing enterprise infrastructure.

Mohammad Abu Sheikh said the AI industry is moving beyond experimentation and entering a phase focused on real world execution.

“The era of AI experimentation is over; the era of execution has begun. This funding strengthens our ability to build the sovereign infrastructure and talent needed to deploy AI at scale.”

AI71 Returns as Investor Following Earlier Acquisition

The latest investment also highlights the long-standing relationship between CNTXT AI founder Mohammad Abu Sheikh and AI71.

Before launching CNTXT AI, Abu Sheikh founded LocAI, an AI company that was later acquired by AI71. AI71 has now returned as a co-lead investor in CNTXT AI’s Series A round.

Abu Sheikh is also the founder of SMPL AI, a $25 million investment fund focused on supporting early-stage AI startups.

Reda Nidhakou, Member of the AI71 Board of Directors and CEO of VentureOne, said CNTXT AI has demonstrated strong execution capabilities and is well-positioned to address growing global demand for sovereign AI deployment.

He said the investment will help build the infrastructure needed to deploy AI at scale while addressing increasing data sovereignty requirements among enterprise customers.

Munsit Emerges as a Leading Arabic Voice AI Platform

One of CNTXT AI’s most notable products is Munsit, an Arabic voice AI platform designed to deliver highly accurate speech recognition and voice processing capabilities.

According to the company, Munsit has already processed more than one million minutes of speech and currently serves over 250 enterprises and 150,000 users.

The platform reflects growing demand for AI solutions specifically designed for Arabic language users, a segment that has historically received less attention from global AI providers.

Alongside Munsit, the company also offers TestAI, a platform that helps organizations evaluate AI performance, reliability, and readiness before deployment.

Partnerships With Global Technology Leaders

CNTXT AI has established relationships with several major global technology companies, including Oracle, NVIDIA, and AWS.

The company has also supported leading AI developers on large language model initiatives and has delivered enterprise and government AI projects across multiple international markets.

These partnerships have helped CNTXT AI build expertise across AI infrastructure, deployment, data preparation, and model optimization.

BlueFive Capital Backs UAE AI Growth

BlueFive Capital joined the funding round as a co-lead investor, further expanding its presence in the technology and artificial intelligence sector.

Hazem Ben Gacem, Founder and CEO of BlueFive Capital, said the firm invested in CNTXT AI because of its ability to transform data into practical AI outcomes for organizations.

He added that the company represents the type of globally competitive technology business that can emerge from the region and compete on an international scale.

Growing Demand for Sovereign AI Solutions

The funding comes as governments and enterprises increasingly seek AI systems that provide stronger control over data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Many organizations are now looking for alternatives that allow them to deploy advanced AI capabilities without relying entirely on external cloud environments or transferring sensitive information outside national borders.

This trend has created significant opportunities for sovereign AI providers that can combine advanced AI capabilities with strict data governance standards.

What This Means for the UAE Startup Ecosystem

CNTXT AI’s $60 million Series A round represents one of the largest AI startup funding rounds announced in the UAE this year.

The investment highlights growing global investor confidence in the UAE’s AI ecosystem and reinforces the country’s ambition to become a leading hub for artificial intelligence innovation.

With strong backing from AI71 and BlueFive Capital, established relationships with global technology leaders, and growing demand for sovereign AI infrastructure, CNTXT AI is positioning itself as a major player in the next phase of enterprise and government AI adoption.

As organizations continue to prioritize data sovereignty and secure AI deployment, CNTXT AI’s expansion could further strengthen the UAE’s role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence worldwide.
