Sharjah FDI Office announced that industrial investment into Sharjah crossed AED 3.51 billion across 99 projects over the last five years, including AED 1.6 billion from 31 projects in 2025 alone. The announcement was made during Make it in the Emirates 2026 in Abu Dhabi.

The figures show strong momentum in Sharjah’s industrial sector as the emirate continues to position itself as a major manufacturing and industrial hub in the UAE.
Sharjah also highlighted the strength of its industrial ecosystem, which includes manufacturing infrastructure, logistics connectivity, industrial real estate, startup support, and access to international markets.
Sharjah strengthens its position as a UAE industrial hub
Sharjah now accounts for around 40% of the UAE’s total industrial establishments. The emirate currently has more than 2,800 factories operating across 21 industrial zones.

This large industrial base has helped Sharjah attract both local and foreign investment across manufacturing and production sectors. Officials stated that the emirate’s industrial ecosystem is built around long-term competitiveness. Infrastructure, regulations, logistics, and market access are designed to support industrial growth at scale.
Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh said the rise in industrial projects, exports, and manufacturing activity reflects the success of this integrated approach.
The Sharjah pavilion at the event included Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center, Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, Gulftainer, Al Rabwa Real Estate, Al Rasikhoon Real Estate, and Sharjah Investors Services Centre. These organizations highlighted industrial innovation, logistics, technology integration, startup enablement, and industrial real estate development.
Industrial licences and real estate activity continue to grow
Sharjah reported continued expansion in industrial activity during 2025. The emirate issued 532 new industrial licences, marking a 17% increase compared to last year, while 3,354 licences were renewed, up 7% year on year.

Total industrial licences reached 3,886, reflecting overall growth of 8%.
Industrial real estate activity also saw major growth. Transactions increased 88.7% in 2025 and reached AED 9.24 billion compared to AED 4.9 billion in 2024.
A total of 4,416 industrial properties were traded during the year, while around 14 industrial developments are currently underway. This rise in industrial land demand signals growing investor confidence in Sharjah’s manufacturing and logistics ecosystem.
Sharjah pushes advanced manufacturing and global exports
Sharjah used the platform to promote investment opportunities across advanced manufacturing and industrial production. Industrial products from the emirate are now exported to more than 120 countries, showing Sharjah’s growing integration into global supply chains.
Sara Abdelaziz Al Nuaimi said the emirate continues to support startups building advanced manufacturing and industrial innovation solutions.
Meanwhile, Hussain Al Mahmoudi highlighted the role of advanced technologies, industrial innovation, and technology transfer partnerships in strengthening local manufacturing capabilities.
Farid Belbouab also emphasized the importance of logistics infrastructure in helping UAE manufacturers access global markets faster and more efficiently.
What this means for businesses and investors
Sharjah’s latest industrial investment figures show how the UAE is accelerating its push toward manufacturing, industrial innovation, and supply chain expansion.
For businesses, the growing industrial ecosystem creates opportunities across manufacturing, industrial automation, logistics, warehousing, industrial real estate, AI powered industrial solutions, and export focused production.
For investors, the rapid growth in industrial licences, property transactions, and exports signals strong long term demand across the sector.
The combination of industrial infrastructure, global trade access, startup support, and government backed initiatives is helping Sharjah position itself as one of the region’s fastest growing industrial ecosystems.
