UAE based hiring technology company Qureos has closed a $5 million seed funding round to expand its AI driven recruitment platform and accelerate growth across the MENA region. The round was led by Prosus Ventures and Salica Oryx Fund, with participation from investors including Oraseya Capital, PlusVC, F6 Ventures, BDev Ventures, Sunny Side Venture Partners, and individual contributor Daniel Tyre. Follow on investments came from COTU Ventures and Globivest.

What Qureos Does

Qureos was founded in 2020 by Alexander Epure and Usama Nini as an AI based hiring solution designed to help companies reduce the time and complexity involved in recruitment. Its platform connects sourcing, screening, and interviewing into one system, using artificial intelligence to automate and streamline workflows that are often fragmented across multiple tools.

The company’s technology includes AI features that assist with candidate matching, engagement, and interview automation. Qureos’ approach aims to shorten time to hire from months to days by creating a single, integrated hiring experience rather than relying on disconnected steps.

Plans for Expansion and Development

Qureos plans to use the new capital to further refine its AI capabilities, grow its go to market team, and scale its operations both within the Middle East and beyond. The funding will support geographic expansion through partnerships with enterprise clients and recruitment agencies, helping the company to reach more customers and increase adoption of its platform.

The company’s growth trajectory follows earlier investment, including a pre seed round that helped establish product development and initial market traction. With this seed funding, Qureos aims to push deeper into the HR technology space and capture demand from organisations seeking faster and more efficient hiring processes.

Market Context and Strategic Implications

Hiring remains a major operational challenge for enterprises, particularly in high growth sectors where speed and quality of talent acquisition can influence competitive advantage. By leveraging AI to unify disparate hiring functions, Qureos positions itself as part of a broader trend in HR technology where automation and machine learning are used to enhance recruiter productivity and candidate experience.

Investors backing the round have highlighted the startup’s potential to transform how organisations approach recruitment by shifting focus from manual, step by step hiring tasks to a connected, data driven system that can scale more effectively for enterprise needs.
