Dubai’s Meydan Free Zone has introduced Fawri, a groundbreaking service that enables entrepreneurs to secure a full business license in just 60 minutes. This initiative is designed to streamline the business setup process, making it more accessible and efficient for solo founders and small enterprises.
Fawri operates as a fully digital platform, eliminating the need for physical paperwork and in-person visits. For a fee of AED 15,000 (approximately $4,100), users receive a comprehensive package that includes a business license, certificate of formation, share register, memorandum and articles of association, and a lease agreement.
The service supports over 1,800 business activities across various sectors such as e-commerce, education, consulting, trading, and fintech.
Key benefits of Fawri include 100% foreign ownership, no paid-up capital requirements, and full repatriation of profits and capital.
Additionally, the platform allows entrepreneurs to initiate visa applications and corporate bank account openings directly through its integrated digital system. One free amendment is included within the first year, providing flexibility as businesses evolve.
Mohammad Bin Humaidan Al Falasi, Strategic Director of Free Zone Licensing at Meydan Free Zone, stated, “Fawri is more than a product — it’s a statement of intent. It reflects our deep belief that the entrepreneurial journey should begin with clarity, speed, and confidence.”
This initiative aligns with Dubai’s broader efforts to foster a business-friendly environment and attract global entrepreneurs by simplifying the company formation process.
