Yusr, a UAE fintech company that helps people pay for essential services in monthly instalments, has won an award for the way it onboards customers. The company received the Excellence in Digital Customer Onboarding Award from Signzy, a global provider of AI-powered digital identity verification, at Dubai Fintech Summit 2026. The award was announced on 5 November 2026.

The award was presented by Arpit Ratan, co-founder and chief business officer of Signzy, and received on behalf of the Yusr Group by Ilya Dolgov, chief executive of Yusr Rent and Yusr Capital. It recognises a customer journey that is designed to be fast, secure and easy to start, from the first check of a spending limit to the first payment plan.

An award for onboarding that feels effortless

For Yusr, the recognition is about more than a trophy. The company was built on a simple idea: getting access to financial services should be straightforward, transparent and convenient. That starts with onboarding, the process of signing up and verifying identity before a customer can use a service. If that first step is slow or confusing, many people give up before they begin.

Azamat Seitbekov, founder of Yusr, says financial innovation is not just about creating new products. It is about removing the barriers that stop people from accessing them. The best financial experience, he says, is one that feels simple, secure and effortless for the customer. The award, he added, reflects the work his team and partners are doing to turn that vision into reality.

What Yusr Pay does for everyday bills

Through Yusr Pay, customers across the UAE can pay for essential services such as car maintenance, healthcare, dental care, education and travel in flexible, interest-free instalments. The app splits a bill into monthly payments, with no fees on plans of up to four months and an estimated spending limit of up to AED 12,000, subject to eligibility. Longer plans of up to 12 months are available for eligible customers.

Customers check their estimated limit in the app with an Emirates ID, email and phone number. They then pick a merchant from the marketplace, which covers clinics, car repair centres, tutoring centres, driving classes and shops. Yusr is operated by Yusr Tech Forfaiting LLC in partnership with Deem Finance, a finance company licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE.

How Signzy checks identity in the background

A key part of the experience is digital onboarding, and that is where Signzy comes in. Yusr has integrated Signzy’s identity verification technology into its customer journey, so new customers can be verified quickly while the security and verification standards of financial services are maintained. The aim is a process that is faster and more intuitive, without cutting corners on safety.

Ratan says Signzy’s mission is to make digital identity verification and compliance seamless, so financial institutions can onboard customers with speed, confidence and trust. As AI-powered onboarding becomes the foundation of modern financial services, he says, Signzy is proud to see its technology help businesses across the UAE deliver secure and frictionless customer journeys.

What the award means for Yusr’s growth

Yusr continues to expand its presence in the UAE, and the company says customer experience, responsible innovation and strong technology partnerships will stay central to its growth strategy. The award marks another milestone in its journey towards making financial services more accessible, intuitive and connected to customers’ everyday needs.

The company has been building momentum in the UAE since May 2026, when it signed a strategic partnership with Deem Finance to deliver embedded finance and buy now, pay later services under Deem’s regulatory framework. Yusr is backed by Jet Finance, a financial institution listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, and it first built its track record in Kazakhstan before expanding into the Emirates.

For customers, the practical test is simple: a bill that once had to be paid in one go can now be spread across a few months, with no fees on short plans. That is the experience Yusr wants to keep improving, one onboarding at a time.
