Dubai Municipality has launched the Work from Park initiative to change how people work in the city. Instead of staying inside offices or homes all day, people can now work in open parks with fresh air and natural light.
The first setup will open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park. It will include shaded seating, strong internet, and quiet zones designed for focus. These are not basic park benches. They are planned work areas built for real productivity.
The idea is to make parks useful throughout the day. People can work, take breaks, and connect with others in one place. This supports freelancers, remote workers, and even small teams who do not need a fixed office.v
Built for Modern Work and Better Living
This initiative reflects how work habits have changed. More people now want flexible schedules and better work environments. Working outdoors can improve focus, reduce stress, and make daily work feel less tiring.
To make this possible, Dubai has partnered with Group AMANA and Letswork. These partners will design and manage the spaces to ensure they are comfortable, reliable, and easy to use.
The workspaces will use modular designs. This means they can be adjusted based on demand. They are also built to match the natural look of parks, so they do not disturb the environment.
Part of Dubai’s Long-Term Growth Plan
The Work from Park initiative is part of the broader vision of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. This plan focuses on improving quality of life while building a smart and sustainable city.
Dubai plans to open 35 new parks in 2026 and more than 300 parks by 2040. These parks will not just be for leisure. They will support daily life, work, and community interaction.
This move shows a clear shift. Cities are no longer separating work and lifestyle. They are combining both to create better living experiences. Dubai is taking an early lead in this change.
The big question is simple. Would you choose to work from a park instead of an office? 🌿💻
