Dubai based gaming developer iBLOXX Studios has raised $5.4 million (AED 20 million) in new funding to support the development, launch and global expansion of its upcoming multiplayer title StrayShot. The investment comes as part of a broader trend of capital flowing into the Middle East’s gaming and interactive entertainment ecosystem.
What iBLOXX Studios Is Building
Founded in 2021 and operating from the DMCC Free Zone and the DMCC Gaming Centre, iBLOXX Studios is focused on creating multiplayer experiences that blend competitive gameplay with emerging technologies. Its flagship project, StrayShot, is a third person mobile shooter currently in closed beta that incorporates blockchain enabled features, such as player owned in game assets and digital economies.
StrayShot offers a range of game modes, including Battle Royale, Team Deathmatch and Extraction, and is being optimised for accessibility on both low end and high end devices. Blockchain integration allows users to own, trade and manage digital items directly within the game environment.
Strategic Use of the Funding
The $5.4 million capital will be directed toward finalising StrayShot’s development, expanding global marketing efforts and preparing for launch on major platforms, including consoles. It will also support live operations, ongoing game updates and technical enhancements post launch to improve player engagement and retention over time.
iBLOXX Studios collaborates with partners such as the Dubai Future Foundation, Xsolla and the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, and participates in the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033. These ecosystem connections are part of its strategy to position itself as a notable player in the regional and global gaming markets.
