Roamless Secures Series A Funding to Expand Global Connectivity
US-headquartered connectivity startup Roamless has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round, with Qatar-based venture capital firm Rasmal Ventures leading the investment. The round also included participation from Shorooq, Revo Capital, Finberg, and JIMCO. This latest capital raise increases the company’s total funding to $18 million since its launch in 2023.
Roamless is focused on developing a seamless mobile connectivity experience using eSIM technology, allowing users to stay connected across borders without the need to change physical SIM cards. The platform supports both pay-as-you-go and travel-specific plans that work in over 200 countries and territories, addressing common issues faced by international travelers.
A “Single Global eSIM” for Travelers
Founded in 2023 by a team of entrepreneurs, Roamless has built what it calls a “single global eSIM” offering that aims to simplify mobile connectivity for frequent travelers and global users. The service currently reaches more than 1 million users worldwide with coverage in 200+ countries, delivering a consistent connection without swapping SIMs as users cross borders.
Where many eSIM providers rely on third-party telecom infrastructure, Roamless operates its own cloud-based, carrier-grade infrastructure, giving it greater control over service quality and the customer experience. This infrastructure foundation supports cross-border connectivity and positions Roamless to expand its offerings beyond basic data plans in future.
Growth Plans and New Features
With the Series A funding, Roamless plans to expand its network coverage further, enhance global go-to-market operations, and grow its customer support capabilities. A major focus for the company is launching “Roamless Numbers,” a feature that will allow users to obtain local numbers in more than 20 countries directly within the app, enabling voice calls and SMS messaging.
Beyond local numbers, Roamless intends to build B2B tools and APIs so that partners—such as airlines, airports, travel platforms, and financial services—can integrate connectivity into their own services. The company also plans to introduce AI-driven features designed to improve network performance, reduce costs, and personalise partner offerings.
Positioning in the Global eSIM Market
As eSIM adoption grows worldwide, Roamless is positioning itself as a provider that combines global reach with flexible pricing and a unified connectivity experience. The company’s strategy to own and manage its underlying connectivity stack differentiates it from many competitors relying on resale models.
The successful Series A round highlights investor confidence in Roamless’s vision to deliver a borderless mobile experience and expand its footprint across travel, consumer, and enterprise segments globally.
