13 Year Old Adam Ahmed Wins Gold for ScoolBot AI Platform

SHARJAH, UAE, August 2026 β€” At just 13 years old, Adam Ahmed, founder of ScoolBot and creator of Bothread, has already built an AI powered education platform that has earned international recognition, along with a free open-source developer tool used by AI builders.

Both projects began with one question he could not stop thinking about: Why do students who refuse to do homework happily spend hours playing video games?

One Question Sparked the Idea Behind ScoolBot

That question became FutureEduAI, the first version of Adam Ahmed’s idea. It was simple and experimental, built quickly to test one thing: could a learning platform capture a student’s attention the way a game does?

Adam entered FutureEduAI into a competition organized by DDS (Decoding Data Science), the largest AI and data science community in the MENA region. The project placed among the Top 20, giving him confidence that the idea had potential.

From a Top 20 Finish to International Recognition

After the competition, Adam spent time exploring newer AI development tools that allowed him to build software faster and more effectively than before.

Once he understood what these tools could do, he rebuilt his original idea from the ground up and launched it under a new name: ScoolBot.

He says he works best under pressure, and rebuilding the platform became much smoother than the first attempt.

“I thought I could do better, and that the overall idea of FutureEduAI was worth taking forward. I’d also learned a lot by then, and had a lot more tools to help me work.”

The new version of ScoolBot placed 4th in another DDS AI Application Challenge. Instead of stopping there, Adam continued improving the platform by presenting it to teachers at his own school and later to school principals from across Sharjah, refining the product through real world feedback.

Those improvements led to international recognition.

ScoolBot won Gold in the Best AI Education category at the International AI Awards 2026. Soon afterward, it also received Gold Recognition at the TeenTech Awards 2026, a UK wide competition for young innovators held in London.

TeenTech presents Bronze, Silver, and Gold recognitions, making Gold one of the competition’s highest honors.

“It was amazing, especially getting the email and the certificate announcing the International AI Awards and the TeenTech Awards,” Adam said. “I was feeling very happy.”

ScoolBot now serves students, teachers, and parents through a single platform. Students learn with game-based quizzes and an AI tutor.

Teachers gain classroom management tools and dashboards that reduce administrative work. Parents receive a clearer view of their children’s progress. The platform is built around UAE Ministry of Education standards.

Building ScoolBot Led to Another AI Innovation

While building ScoolBot, Adam encountered a completely different challenge.

To speed up development, he used several AI coding agents simultaneously, with each one responsible for different parts of the software.

However, the AI tools had no way of knowing what the others were doing. They often repeated completed work, overwrote changes, or accidentally undid each other’s progress because each agent worked independently. Adam also found himself manually copying and pasting messages between them just to keep them in sync.

That experience led him to create Bothread, a free open-source tool that enables multiple AI coding agents to communicate, coordinate tasks, and avoid conflicting with one another while building software.

The project is freely available for developers to use, modify, and contribute to.

Since launching in June 2026, Bothread has attracted around 180 project views and more than 50 downloads as of July 2026, while receiving encouraging feedback from developers on Product Hunt, LinkedIn, and Reddit.

“Honestly, I think it matters almost as much as ScoolBot because Bothread solves a real problem, and it’s completely open source, local, and free. I think it can genuinely help a lot of people. I’ve already received positive feedback on Product Hunt, LinkedIn, and Reddit, and I hope it helps developers like me too.”

Lessons from a 13-Year-Old Founder

Find the real problem before building anything. ScoolBot did not begin as a business idea. It started with a simple question about why games capture attention while traditional homework often does not.

Your first version does not have to be your final version.

FutureEduAI reached the Top 20. ScoolBot later placed fourth. Neither result was the destination. Each became an opportunity to learn, improve, and build something better, eventually leading to international recognition.
